Okay, so there's been some talk about these odd blue jelly-like creatures washing up on our Ventura County beaches lately. Apparently, they're called velella velella, or 'by-the-wind sailors.' Has anyone seen them up close? Just curious if they're totally harmless, or if there's anything we should know when walking the sand.
